Big Girls' Sleep-over.

"Wow! You're going to stay at Kate's all night!" said Donny. "It'll be a big girls' sleep-over! How cool!"

And indeed it was. I went over to Kate's for mushroom risotto, wine and The King's Speech. Nick had refused to get out the video as it was a load of Royalist Rubbish, apparently. This is coming from the man that obsessively reads about the Tudor period and knows the details of Elizabeth I's love life. Am I missing something? Anyway, the King's Speech was an excellent movie, superbly acted by Colin Firth and Geoffrey Rush.

In the morning, we went and fed the ducks and a whopping great swan over at the wildlife reserve behind her house.

  2. I was amazed by your trip, your report and the photos. You're incredible!!! I'm so proud to know you. Congrats on your achievement!!! Brave woman! How do you find the time to write so much. Those are souvenirs for the whole life. And the next trip? When? Where? The Alps aren't too far from Lyon... :)

  3. Hi Anne,
Good to hear from you. :o) I'm about half way through the China trip blog... yes it takes a long time to write it all up. Once it is done I'll try to catch up with this one! Yep, heading for the Alps later in the year - how far is Austria from you?

  4. We spend every Xmas in Vienna: 2h direct flight from Lyon. We'll leave for Kyoto on June 24 for two months like every summer... Are you planning to visit Vienna, too, or "just" the Alps? Your mum will come with you, won't she? Lots of love to her and all of you!
